En sesión extraordinaria, el Cabildo aprobó por mayoría la resolución de la reforma constitucional contenida en el Decreto LXVIII/RFCNT/0172/2024 I P.O., emitido por la Sexagésima Octava Legislatura del Congreso del Estado de Chihuahua.
Al respecto el Presidente Municipal, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, explicó que el estado de Chihuahua, a través del Congreso, tomó la decisión de alinearse a la reforma judicial que ha sido aprobada a nivel nacional.
Entendemos que vendrá la elección del Poder Judicial local en junio del 2025; lo que ha hecho el Ayuntamiento es aprobar la decisión de sumarse al Congreso local, pues para que haya una Reforma Judicial en el estado de Chihuahua debe aprobarse por las dos terceras partes del Congreso del Estado y la mayoría de los ayuntamientos, que además representen más de la mitad de la población, dijo el alcalde.
“En este sentido, Juárez es un Ayuntamiento muy importante, porque tiene el 42 por ciento de su población”, afirmó.
Mencionó que una vez hecho esto, así como que otros ayuntamientos también se sumen, se da la oportunidad al Congreso del Estado para que desarrolle las leyes secundarias, las cuales también son muy relevantes.
