La consejera presidenta del Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE) Guadalupe Taddei Zavala, explicó que la presidencia de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nacional la ocupará la persona que obtenga la mayor votación, independientemente que sea hombre o mujer, en seguimiento del articulo 94 constitucional por un periodo de 2 años.
Indicó que el proceso de asignación de los cargos del Poder Judicial Federal inicia con las candidaturas femeninas. Esto se debe a que el objetivo es garantizar que al menos cinco mujeres integren la nueva composición de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación (SCJN).
Sin embargo, Taddei aclaró que esto no implica que la presidencia de la Corte será automáticamente para una mujer. Resaltando que la definición de la titularidad se dará hasta el final de los cómputos oficiales.
