La Presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum negó hoy miércoles 25 de junio que el Gobierno de México tenga información relacionada con presuntas labores de espionaje realizadas por el Cártel Nueva Generación (CNG) contra agentes de la DEA en Estados Unidos durante el juicio de “El Menchito”, hijo del líder de dicho grupo criminal.
La declaración de la Presidenta Sheinbaum ocurre luego de que ayer martes, el agente especial de la Agencia Antidrogas de Estados Unidos (DEA, en inglés), Matthew Allen, señalara durante una comparecencia ante el Comité Judicial del Senado de Estados Unidos, que el CNG vigilaba a los agentes durante el juicio de Rubén Oseguera González, alias “El Menchito”.
El juicio contra Rubén Oseguera González fue realizado en septiembre de 2024 y culminó con la condena a cadena perpetua del acusado, considerado pieza clave en la estructura del CNG.
El funcionario estadounidense denunció así una infiltración a gran escala, en el sur de California, por parte de terroristas extranjeros designados y organizaciones criminales transnacionales, como el Cártel de Sinaloa y el CNG.
