La presidenta de México, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo aseguró que las investigaciones sobre el llamado huachicol fiscal no han concluido y que continúan las detenciones de personas presuntamente vinculadas a estas prácticas ilícitas.
Recordó que las recientes capturas, entre las que está la del vicealmirante Manuel Roberto Farías Laguna, sobrino político del exsecretario de Marina Rafael Ojeda Durán, se originaron tras el aseguramiento en marzo de un buque en Tampico que declaró transportar naftas con permiso temporal de importación, pero que en realidad contenía diésel. La detección de esta irregularidad permitió abrir una amplia indagatoria que ha derivado en la captura de elementos de la Marina, empresarios y civiles.
Sheinbaum explicó que este delito provoca un “doble daño”: por un lado, la evasión de impuestos al introducir combustibles sin pagar las contribuciones correspondientes, y por otro, la competencia desleal que afecta tanto a los importadores legales como a Pemex, al colocarse el producto ilícito en el mercado a precios menores.
