El expresidente francés Nicolas Sarkozy fue condenado este jueves a cinco años de cárcel por asociación de malhechores con el fin de obtener financiamiento del régimen libio de Muamar Gadafi para su campaña de 2007, la que le condujo al Elíseo.
El tribunal ordenó que Sarkozy se presente en los próximos días ante la Fiscalía para hacer efectiva la condena y su ingreso en prisión, algo que no podrá evitar aunque la apele.
La fiscalía lo convocará en el plazo de un mes y decretará su ingreso en prisión; y aunque puede solicitar la libertad condicional, amparándose en que tiene más de 70 años, la decisión llegaría más tarde.
