La titular de la Secretaría de Energía, Luz Elena González, presentó la nueva regulación de seguridad para el transporte y distribución de gas LP.
Se publicaran dos nuevas Normas Oficiales Mexicanas de Emergencia (NOM-EM-006-ASEA-2025 y NOM-EM-007-ASEA-2025) que buscan fortalecer la seguridad industrial y operativa en las actividades de transporte y distribución de gas licuado de petróleo (Gas LP).
Entre los principales cambios se encuentran:
Demostrar mantenimiento anual: Las empresas deberán acreditar ante la ASEA el cumplimiento de los programas de mantenimiento de las unidades mediante un dictamen técnico, obligación que antes no existía.
Pruebas de seguridad más estrictas: además de las inspecciones visuales externas, las unidades deberán someterse a inspecciones internas y pruebas de presión hidrostática periódicas, que hasta ahora sólo se exigían en casos de daños o accidentes.
Capacitación certificada: los conductores deberán acreditar una formación teórico-práctica especializada, avalada por el Consejo Nacional de Normalización y Certificación de Competencias Laborales (Conocer).
Control de velocidad y monitoreo satelital: todas las unidades tendrán que instalar dispositivos de control de velocidad y GPS, conforme a la regulación de la Comisión Nacional de Energía.
Inspecciones conjuntas: la Sener, SICT, CNE y ASEA realizarán verificaciones coordinadas en plantas y terminales para revisar las condiciones físico-mecánicas de los vehículos, la vigencia de los permisos y la correcta aplicación de las normas.
