El Gobierno Municipal, a través de la Coordinación de Medio Ambiente y Protección Animal, llevó a cabo una jornada de salud y atención para animales de compañía en la colonia Punta Oriente, con el objetivo de promover la tenencia responsable y la salud de las mascotas.
Durante la actividad se ofrecieron más de mil servicios gratuitos, entre ellos 294 aplicaciones de vacuna antirrábica, 183 vacunas múltiples, 250 desparasitaciones, la entrega de 280 cartillas de vacunación y 294 registros municipales de mascotas. Además, se repartieron 43 plantas polinizadoras y de ornato, como lavandas y romeros, para fomentar el cuidado del medio ambiente.
Decenas de familias acudieron con sus perros y gatos para aprovechar los servicios veterinarios gratuitos y recibir orientación sobre el cuidado responsable de sus animales.
En esta ocasión también se concretó una adopción responsable: Monjo, un perrito que esperaba una nueva oportunidad, fue adoptado por el señor Raúl Salvídrez y su familia, quienes decidieron integrarlo a su hogar y brindarle el cariño y cuidados que merece.
Estas jornadas forman parte de las acciones permanentes que realiza la Coordinación de Medio Ambiente y Protección Animal en distintos puntos de la ciudad, con el propósito de garantizar la protección de los animales, prevenir enfermedades y fortalecer la participación ciudadana en el cuidado del entorno.
