Con el propósito de mejorar la movilidad en las vialidades, distintas instancias del Gobierno Municipal trabajan en el proyecto de modernizar el sistema de semaforización en los distintos sectores de la ciudad, principalmente en las avenidas más transitadas.
Como parte de esto, el Presidente Municipal, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, tuvo una reunión con Roger Hung, CEO y fundador de Hi-Power Solution Co. y otros representantes de una empresa taiwanesa especialista en el ramo, plática en la que se explicaron los beneficios que tendrá la ciudad con la modernización de los semáforos.
En la reunión estuvieron también el coordinador de directores, Enrique Licón Chávez y el director del Instituto Municipal de Investigación y Planeación, Roberto Mora Palacios.
Sobre ello, Licón Chávez informó que en la reunión se habló sobre el Proyecto de Semaforización Inteligente que será para beneficiar a la ciudad en tiempos de traslado, la reducción de congestionamientos, información técnica para toma de decisiones, además de mejorar la seguridad vial.
El funcionario explicó que el funcionamiento del sistema se basa en cámaras VD/QLD que detectan y clasifican el tráfico; software, encargado del análisis inteligente de imágenes y servidores para procesamiento central.
Además cuenta con ajuste automático y remoto de semáforos y conexión mediante fibra óptica y cableado CA6.
El sistema enviará datos en tiempo real al Centro de Control, donde se podrá visualizar el flujo vehicular, incidentes, tiempo de viaje, niveles de congestionamiento y comportamiento por corredor vial, indicó.
La reunión se realizó en el Instituto Municipal de Investigación y Planeación (IMIP), ubicado en la avenida Benjamín Franklin en la colonia Progresista.
