El Presidente Municipal, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar exhortó a la población a cuidar las obras que se realizan en la ciudad, ya que son proyectos destinados al beneficio directo de la comunidad y requieren del compromiso de todos para su conservación.
Como ejemplo, mencionó que recientemente se registraron daños en la fachada del Gimnasio Municipal Josué Neri Santos, la cual había sido remodelada, una situación que, indicó, ocurre con frecuencia en distintos puntos de la ciudad, ya que de manera recurrente se presentan afectaciones a obras públicas que posteriormente deben ser reparadas por el Gobierno Municipal.
En el caso específico del Josué Neri Santos, el alcalde explicó que de identificarse a la persona responsable de los daños, se le solicitará cubrir los gastos correspondientes a la reparación del inmueble.
Señaló que el gimnasio aún requiere algunos detalles por atender para que la remodelación quede concluida al 100 por ciento, aunque ya ha sido sede de eventos como una función de lucha libre con El Hijo del Santo y un espectáculo de box, mientras continúan los trabajos en el lugar.
Estas acciones forman parte de los esfuerzos para mejorar la imagen urbana y fortalecer el entorno del Centro Histórico, con espacios públicos renovados y funcionales para la ciudadanía.
