El Congreso del Estado eligió a Ada Miriam Aguilera Mercado como nueva presidenta de la Comisión Estatal de los Derechos Humanos (CEDH), tras una sesión donde se presentó por el posicionamiento dividido dentro de los diputados de Morena.
El acuerdo se logró luego de 22 votos a favor y 11 votos nulos tras semanas de debate público para escoger el perfil idóneo para encabezar la institución.
La renovación de la Comisión Estatal de los Derechos Humanos había generado posturas encontradas entre las distintas fuerzas legislativas.
