Regidores de la Comisión Edilicia de Atención a los Derechos Humanos y Grupos Vulnerables se reunieron con los titulares de Desarrollo Económico y de Educación para coordinar las actividades que se llevarán a cabo en el marco del Día Municipal y Mundial de la Concientización sobre el Autismo, en colaboración con la Fundación Unidos por el Autismo.
La regidora y coordinadora de la Comisión, Dina Salgado Sotelo, informó que en Ciudad Juárez se conmemora este día con la iluminación de la “X” en color azul, como símbolo de apoyo y visibilización de las personas con el Trastorno del Espectro Autista.
Como parte de la agenda, el próximo 12 de abril se realizará una caminata organizada por la fundación, cuyo propósito es generar espacios de convivencia, escuchar experiencias y promover la comprensión sobre el autismo. En esta actividad se invita a la comunidad a participar portando vestimenta en color azul.
Además, el 20 de abril se llevará a cabo un Congreso Binacional de Autismo con la participación de la Dirección de Educación, donde se abordarán temas dirigidos a familias, docentes, estudiantes, directivos y público en general, con el fin de ampliar el conocimiento sobre este trastorno.
Las actividades concluirán el 26 de abril con la Carrera del Autismo, que contará con una modalidad competitiva de 10 kilómetros y una recreativa de 3 kilómetros, pensada para la convivencia familiar. El costo de inscripción será de 350 pesos, lo que incluye camiseta y medalla para los participantes.
Salgado Sotelo destacó que Ciudad Juárez es el único municipio del país que cuenta con un Día Municipal de Concientización sobre el Autismo, lo que refleja el compromiso de la administración municipal encabezada por el Presidente Municipal, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, así como de las distintas dependencias en promover la inclusión y la empatía.
En la reunión se contó con la presencia de la directora general de Desarrollo Económico, Tania Maldonado Garduño y el director general de Educación Municipal, Guillermo Enrique Alvídrez Olivas, así como los ediles Alejandro Alberto Jiménez Vargas y Martha Patricia Mendoza Rodríguez.
