En una noche que desbordó tradición, destreza y orgullo mexicano, el presidente municipal Héctor Ortiz Orpinel inauguró formalmente el magno evento “Charreada bajo la Luna”, celebrado en las instalaciones del emblemático Lienzo Charro Adolfo López Mateos.
El encuentro deportivo logró congregar a destacados exponentes del deporte nacional por excelencia provenientes de diversas partes del país, donde históricamente las mujeres de a caballo, valientemente realizaron las 9 suertes de la charrería logrando el aplauso del público.
Durante la ceremonia protocolaria, las autoridades municipales y los organizadores hicieron entrega de medallas de reconocimiento a las integrantes de las escaramuzas participantes, quienes previamente deleitaron al público con arriesgadas rutinas de precisión, elegancia y excelente coordinación a caballo.
Al hacer uso de la palabra, el alcalde Héctor Ortiz Orpinel destacó el valor de la charrería como Patrimonio Cultural de México y refrendó el compromiso de su gobierno de seguir promoviendo actividades que no solo fomenten la activación física, sino que mantengan vivas las raíces nacionales en la frontera, uniendo a familias y aficionados en un ambiente completamente festivo.
“Este tipo de actividades es lo que necesitamos en la ciudad: el deporte, la educación y la cultura es la mejor manera que tenemos para transformar nuestra ciudad y el que hoy estemos aquí en este evento, que tiene un gran nombre ‘Charreada bajo la Luna ‘, es algo significativo”, dijo el alcalde.
Asimismo, en un acto especial de agradecimiento por su impulso constante al deporte local y a la preservación de las tradiciones mexicanas, se otorgaron hebillas conmemorativas a dos figuras clave de la administración: el director del Instituto Municipal del Deporte y Cultura Física de Juárez, Juan Escalante, y la regidora de la Comisión del Deporte, Karla Escalante.
En la inauguración charra estuvieron la presidenta del Voluntariado del DIF municipal Angélica Mendoza Beltrán, Gabriel Ramírez Navarrete, presidente de la Asociación de Charros Unidos de Ciudad Juárez; Oscar Murillo, Director de Gobierno, Alfredo Ramírez Hernández, presidente de la liga municipal de charrería, Mario Iglesias Organizador del evento
