Con el objetivo de garantizar la participación de familiares en la búsqueda de personas desaparecidas, el diputado Carlos Olson San Vicente (PAN), presentó una iniciativa para reformar la Ley para la Declaración Especial de Ausencia por Desaparición en el Estado de Chihuahua.
La propuesta busca reconocer de manera formal a las madres buscadoras y otros familiares como coadyuvantes en las investigaciones de desapariciones.
De esta manera, se pretende evitar que sean excluidos del proceso penal y que se les garantice el derecho a colaborar con las autoridades en todas las etapas de la investigación.
“Detrás de cada persona desaparecida hay una familia que no deja de buscar. Las madres buscadoras han demostrado ser pieza clave en la localización de sus seres queridos y en el esclarecimiento de los hechos. Esta iniciativa les reconoce su papel y protege su labor”, afirmó el legislador.
La reforma también contempla la creación de protocolos de seguridad y apoyo para las personas buscadoras, quienes constantemente enfrentan amenazas y revictimización por parte de las autoridades.
La iniciativa presentada por el diputado Olson busca que Chihuahua sea pionero en el reconocimiento legal de la labor de las familias buscadoras, garantizando su derecho a la verdad y la justicia.
