La gobernadora, Lorena Cuéllar, aseguró que inicia el desarrollo del Polo de Bienestar en Tlaxcala desde el 28 de julio y agregó que se trata de un proyecto que representa una inversión privada de 540 millones de dólares, que generará 5 mil nuevos empleos y atraerá a empresas nacionales e internacionales.
Las empresas que anunciaron su participación fueron Knipping Automotive, una compañía alemana dedicada a la fabricación de piezas de plástico a partir de termoplásticos y termoestables.

Ya se cuenta con 6 cartas de intención en etapa de compraventa de terrenos, lo que representa una inversión superior a los 540 millones de dólares y la creación de 5 mil nuevos empleos.
Las empresas que ya han comprometido su inversión en el Polo de Desarrollo de Huamantla son de Alemania, Estados Unidos y México.
En el Polo de Desarrollo para el Bienestar se construirá un Centro de Educación y Cuidado Infantil (CECI).
