El presidente estatal del Partido Revolucionario Institucional en Chihuahua y diputado federal, Alejandro Domínguez, informó que este miércoles la Cámara de Diputados se desechó la iniciativa de reforma electoral impulsada por la presidenta de México, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.
Durante la sesión celebrada este 11 de marzo de 2026, la propuesta no logró alcanzar la mayoría calificada requerida para su aprobación. El dictamen registró 259 votos a favor, 234 en contra y una abstención, por lo que la reforma no prosperó en el pleno.
Álex Domínguez señaló que la votación refleja un debate intenso sobre el futuro del sistema electoral mexicano, y destacó que la oposición mantuvo su postura crítica frente a los cambios planteados en la iniciativa presidencial.
El legislador priista subrayó que su partido continuará defendiendo la autonomía de las instituciones electorales y el equilibrio democrático del país, reiterando que cualquier modificación al sistema electoral debe construirse a partir del consenso y el respeto a las reglas democráticas.
