El Presidente Municipal, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar asistió este viernes a la ceremonia de toma de protesta del Coronel de Infantería del Estado Mayor, Mauricio Cansino Báez, quien asumió el cargo de comandante interino de la Guarnición Militar de Ciudad Juárez.
El acto fue encabezado por el General de Brigada del Estado Mayor, comandante de la Quinta Zona Militar, Felipe González Moreno, quien tomó la protesta formal al nuevo mando, que causó alta el pasado 1 de octubre.
Durante su intervención, el alcalde Pérez Cuéllar le dio la bienvenida al Coronel Cansino Báez y agradeció la labor y coordinación que se mantuvo con el anterior comandante.
“Le damos la bienvenida al Coronel que hoy toma protesta y reiteramos nuestra disposición de mantener una estrecha coordinación con el Ejército Mexicano. Es fundamental para la seguridad de las y los juarenses y para seguir combatiendo la impunidad”, expresó el alcalde, quien estuvo acompañado en la ceremonia por el secretario de Seguridad Pública Municipal, César Omar Muñoz Morales.
El Presidente Municipal destacó la importancia del trabajo conjunto entre el Gobierno Municipal y las fuerzas armadas, subrayando que esta colaboración ha sido clave para fortalecer la seguridad y la paz en Ciudad Juárez.
El Coronel Mauricio Cansino Báez, originario de la Ciudad de México, cuenta con una trayectoria de más de tres décadas en el Ejército Mexicano, con formación en el Heroico Colegio Militar, la Escuela Superior de Guerra y estudios de posgrado en Dirección Estratégica y Relaciones Internacionales en Chile.
Ha ocupado diversos cargos en unidades de infantería y fuerzas especiales, así como puestos de instrucción y mando en distintas zonas militares del país.
Con su llegada, el Gobierno Municipal reafirmó su compromiso de continuar trabajando de manera coordinada con la Guarnición Militar de Ciudad Juárez y la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional, en acciones conjuntas a favor de la seguridad, la legalidad y la tranquilidad de las familias juarenses.
