La fiscal especializada de Derechos Humanos, Ada Miriam Aguilera Mercado, acudió como invitada a la conferencia “México ante el Sistema Universal de los Derechos Humanos”, impartida por el catedrático de la Universidad de Sevilla, España, César Villegas Delgado.
Este lunes 25, diversas autoridades investigadoras, académicas y electorales, se reunieron en el Auditorio Rodolfo Cruz Miramontes de la Facultad de Derecho de la UACH, para conocer el panorama actual y revisar los avances del Estado ante el Sistema Universal de los Derechos Humanos.
Para la dependencia encargada de conducir las investigaciones relacionadas con violaciones a Derechos Humanos, es importante impulsar mecanismos e instrumentos internacionales dentro de la persecución de los delitos y la procuración de justicia, para garantizar el respeto a los Derechos Humanos dentro de las investigaciones.
México cuenta con nueve tratados ratificados sobre Derechos Civiles y Políticos; Económicos, Sociales y Culturales; para la Eliminación de la Discriminación contra la Mujer, contra la Tortura, Otros Tratos Inhumanos o Degradantes y Penas Crueles; Sobre los Derechos de la Niñez; de los Derechos de los Trabajadores migrantes y sus Familias; Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad y Contra la Desaparición Forzada.
Lo anterior implica, que todas las dependencias de los estados, están obligadas a cumplir con los estándares internacionales en la materia y las declaraciones reconocidas por las Naciones Unidas para la protección de las personas; en el caso particular de las Fiscalías, aquellas que pudieran estar sujetas a una investigación.
En relación con el tema, la Fiscalía Especializada reconoce la importancia de la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos, su aplicación en el contexto de las investigaciones penales, y refrenda el compromiso institucional para promover el cumplimiento de los tratados internacionales en la materia, dentro del ámbito de la procuración de justicia.
