La presidenta de México, Claudia Sheinbaum, informó que su gobierno atiende la contaminación por derrame de crudo en el Golfo de México mediante tres ejes: contención del daño, identificación de las fuentes y apoyo económico a pescadores afectados.
La mandataria explicó que un grupo interdisciplinario, integrado por dependencias como Medio Ambiente, Marina, Ciencia y Energía, así como Petróleos Mexicanos, trabaja en la atención del problema.
Detalló que el primer eje consiste en contener la contaminación desde el momento en que se detectan los derrames; el segundo, en identificar las fuentes mediante el apoyo de científicos y el uso de imágenes satelitales.
El tercer eje contempla el respaldo a pescadores de la región a través del programa Bienpesca, mediante el cual se otorgará un apoyo económico de 15 mil pesos a quienes se encuentren en las zonas afectadas.
