Alumnos de la Universidad Tecnológica de Chihuahua (UTCH) y de la Preparatoria Norte, ubicada en la colonia Vistas del Norte, recibieron una capacitación intensiva referente a los principales delitos cibernéticos y las consecuencias que pueden desencadenarse al cometerlos o convertirse en víctimas de alguno de ellos.
Cerca de 50 estudiantes de nivel medio superior y 21 de nivel superior de las carreras de Tecnologías de la Información y Lengua Inglesa, fueron citados en la Comandancia Norte para recibir dichas cátedras, con el fin de prevenir que se conviertan en víctimas de ciber delincuentes que buscan estafar u obtener recursos monetarios de manera fácil y rápida utilizando la web para ello.
Algunos de los temas que personal de la Policía Cibernética expone a las y los visitantes son: el ciberbullying, sexting, grooming, phishing, entre otros, que suelen ser comunes hoy en día y que han afectado a miles de personas no sólo a nivel local sino mundial.
Además, otro de los propósitos de la dependencia policial es que los mismos estudiantes se conviertan en portavoces en sus planteles y difundan esta enseñanza entre las compañeras y compañeros o en su círculo cercano, para así crear una cadena de prevención que evite que los delincuentes consigan su cometido.
Aunado a las ponencias, las y los pupilos mostraron gran interés al realizar un recorrido que les ofrecieron en las instalaciones, para conocer a detalle la tecnología y la manera en que opera la Plataforma Escudo Chihuahua Capital (PECUU) y las bondades que aporta a la sociedad, cuya operatividad se traduce en cientos de expedientes investigativos con video análisis, que han sido entregados al Ministerio Público, por diversos delitos que son cometidos en las calles de la mancha urbana.
La Dirección de Seguridad Pública Municipal se ha convertido en ejemplo para otras corporaciones de seguridad dentro y fuera de la entidad, al ser una institución de puertas abiertas al público, que, por medio de la implementación de las visitas guiadas para niñas, niños o adultos, demuestra la cercanía con la comunidad a la cual sirve y protege, así como el trabajo que realizan tanto policías como bomberos en beneficio de las familias chihuahuenses.
