El presidente de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, llegó este lunes junto a su esposa, Cilia Flores, a la corte de Manhattan, donde comparecerá por primera vez ante el juez este mediodía tras ser capturado el pasado sábado en Caracas y trasladado a Nueva York.
El convoy en el que iban Maduro, que descendió con mucha dificultad, y Flores estaba compuesto por cinco vehículos y una importante escolta policial. La policía tenía cerradas las calles que daban a la corte.
Maduro y Flores fueron trasladados desde la prisión federal Metropolitana de Brooklyn (MDC) hasta un campo en las afueras de la ciudad, desde donde abordaron un helicóptero que los trasladó hasta un helipuerto cercano a la corte de Nueva York.
La aeronave aterrizó minutos después en las inmediaciones del edificio judicial.
Posteriormente, ambos fueron conducidos en un convoy compuesto por cinco vehículos y bajo una fuerte escolta policial hasta el tribunal, según imágenes difundidas por medios estadounidenses.
