Con aerovigilancia se refuerza la seguridad en Chihuahua

La Dirección de Seguridad Pública Municipal (DSPM) fortalece la vigilancia en la ciudad mediante la Unidad de Operaciones Aéreas, que permite una respuesta más rápida, efectiva y con mayor cobertura ante emergencias y situaciones de alto impacto.

El Policía Tercero Alberto Castillo Vega explicó que la vigilancia aérea ofrece un alcance equivalente al trabajo de hasta ocho patrullas en tierra —e incluso más en zonas abiertas o de difícil acceso—, lo que se traduce en mayor eficiencia y tiempos de reacción más cortos. “Solo bastan 30 minutos de vuelo para recorrer la ciudad de extremo a extremo”, destacó.

Castillo Vega añadió que esta ventaja operativa permite apoyar a las unidades terrestres en casos como persecuciones, vehículos con reporte de robo, personas armadas o privaciones de la libertad.

“Nosotros no tenemos problemas de tráfico. Podemos llegar rápidamente a cualquier punto y dar cobertura a nuestros compañeros en situaciones de riesgo”, añadió.

Además de las tareas de vigilancia, Halcón I también se adapta como ambulancia aérea, lo que permite intervenir en operaciones de rescate y búsqueda, tanto dentro de la mancha urbana como en zonas rurales y serranas. Su personal está capacitado para maniobras de rescate a bordo, actuando cuando la vida o integridad de una persona está en riesgo.

La aeronave opera mediante vuelos programados para recorridos preventivos y también con vuelos de reacción inmediata cuando se registra un evento de alto impacto.

Castillo Vega reiteró “uno de nuestros principales objetivos es salvaguardar a las personas. Queremos que las y los chihuahuenses se sientan seguros, y estamos siempre pendientes de lo que ocurre en la ciudad”.
