El alcalde Marco Bonilla, sostuvo una reunión con Ramiro López Elizalde, subsecretario de Políticas de Salud y Bienestar Poblacional, y Gilberto Baeza Mendoza, Secretario de Salud de Chihuahua, para coordinar acciones entre los tres niveles de gobierno (federación, estado y municipio) para hacer frente al brote de sarampión y reforzar las estrategias de vacunación.
A partir de esta semana, se buscará reforzar que la población acuda a realizarse la aplicación de una dosis adicional de la vacuna contra el sarampión, incluso a quienes ya cuenten con su esquema completo, como medida preventiva ante el brote.
Además, plantearon unificar la comunicación frente a la ciudadanía con un mensaje que ayude a dispersar dudas, así como acercar a los servicios de salud que se ofrecen desde cada institución.
Cabe señalar que, el alcalde giró instrucciones inmediatas a su equipo para que se materialicen las propuestas efectuadas, a fin de dar una lucha ante esta enfermedad.
