El Cabildo de Ciudad Juárez aprobó reformar el Reglamento del Sistema Municipal de Seguridad Pública del Municipio, con lo cual autoriza disponer de los recursos económicos concentrados en la cuenta del fondo de vida, para que ese dinero se utilice en apoyar a la población afectada por las lluvias torrenciales del 25 de junio.
Durante la Sesión Ordinaria número 20 que fue presidida por el Alcalde Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, la regidora Sandra Marbel Valenzuela Martínez, coordinadora de la Comisión de Gobernación, dio a conocer que con esto se hace una modificación al Artículo 59, fracción VI, con la intención de utilizar ese fondo para los afectados por las lluvias.
El monto que se tiene por este fondo es superior a los 46 millones de pesos, de esa cantidad solo deben dejar 6 millones 500 mil pesos para apoyar a los agentes de seguridad pública que resulten afectados en su integridad mientras cumplen con su deber.
El regidor y coordinador de la Comisión de Hacienda, Alejandro Daniel Acosta Aviña, explicó que desde el 2019 se obliga a la Administración Municipal que aporte la cantidad de 6.5 millones de pesos anuales, debido a que no se contaba con un seguro de vida para los elementos de la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública Municipal.
Ahora que ya se cuenta con el seguro, se puede disponer del fondo, siempre y cuando se deje un monto de 6 millones 500 mil pesos por año y el resto se podrá utilizar para apoyar a las familias damnificadas.
La regidora Karla Michaeel Escalante Ramírez dijo que esto se hace porque es necesario apoyar a colonos que perdieron mucho o casi todo lo que tenían, lo que se considera un acto de humanidad y solidaridad.
Al respecto, el Presidente Municipal, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, dijo que siempre se vigilará el buen uso de los recursos del fondo y se planea dotar a las familias de material de construcción y menaje de casa porque hay quienes que perdieron todo.
Durante la Sesión, el secretario del Ayuntamiento, Héctor Rafael Ortiz Orpinel, presentó los dictámenes de la Comisión de Revisión de las Enajenaciones de Terrenos Municipales, donde se autorizó celebrar un contrato de comodato con la Diócesis de Juárez, respecto de un predio municipal, con superficie de 4 mil 598 metros cuadrados.
Así como también se autorizó la desincorporación y enajenación de un predio municipal, con superficie de 8 mil 046 metros cuadrados, a favor del Estado de Chihuahua.
La regidora de Escalante Ramírez dijo que este terreno se dona porque se demostró que tiene vocación social y ahora será utilizado para construir una escuela, lo cual será de beneficio para la comunidad.
El Cabildo aprobó también denominar al parque público ubicado en el bulevar Norzagaray y calle Violetas como “Los Frontera de Ciudad Juárez”, esto debido a su contribución musical y cultural.
El regidor José Mauricio Padilla coordinador de la Comisión de Nomenclatura y Patrimonio Cultural dijo que este es un digno reconocimiento para un grupo que siempre representó a Ciudad Juárez en el sur de Estados Unidos y en la República Mexicana.
El alcalde Pérez Cuéllar felicitó y reconoció a los integrantes de “Los Frontera” por su trayectoria y éxito obtenido.
El Cabildo aprobó turnar a la Comisión de Nomenclatura y Patrimonio Cultural la propuesta del regidor Alejandro Alberto Jiménez Vargas para que se analice nombrar a un mercado popular o parque público como Arturo Urquidi Astorga, en reconocimiento a su trayectoria como funcionario público y apoyo a la comunidad.
