Desde Palacio Nacional, acompañada de la jefa de Gobierno de la Ciudad de México, Clara Brugada, fue escoltada por los titulares de el secretario de la Defensa Nacional, Ricardo Trevilla, de Marina, Raymundo Morales; de Gobernación, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, de Seguridad y Protección Civil, Omar García Harfuch. A las 7:19 comenzó el izamiento del lábaro patrio.
También la acompañaron la titular de Protección Civil, Laura Velázquez, y el presidente de la Cruz Roja Mexicana, Carlos Freaner.
Para honrar la memoria de las víctimas, la banda de guerra de la Defensa entonó el toque “Silencio”.
