En Campeche, la Presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo encabezó el inicio de obra del proyecto Agua para Campeche, un conjunto de acciones que tendrán una inversión de casi mil 400 millones de pesos (mdp) para garantizar el derecho al agua potable a más de 260 mil personas.
“Estamos dando inicio a este proyecto, porque son varias obras, que llamamos Agua para Campeche. El objetivo es que las y los campechanos tengan acceso al agua potable, así de sencillo, claro, lleva, como ya se explicó, distintas acciones, pero el objetivo principal es ese: llevar agua potable a cada una de las viviendas de este estado”, informó.
El proyecto consta de dos componentes: el primero, una batería de pozos a 30 kilómetros de la ciudad de Campeche, un acueducto y seis tanques de almacenamiento para sustituir los actuales pozos que ya suministran agua salitrosa; el segundo, líneas de distribución y tanques de almacenamiento para suministrar agua potable a la ciudad Xpujil.
Agregó que a estas acciones se suma el Plan Campeche, una estrategia para que esta entidad recupere su vocación productiva de arroz y leche que en alguna época tuvo, y que fue abandonada durante los gobiernos neoliberales.
La Jefa del Ejecutivo Federal resaltó que este tipo de obras se realizan porque con la Cuarta Transformación se acabó la corrupción y los privilegios y se gobierna bajo tres principios: “por el bien de todos, primero los pobres”; “no puede haber gobierno rico con pueblo pobre”; y “con el pueblo todo, sin el pueblo nada”. Además, resaltó que en 2025 México pasó a la historia ya que por primera vez el pueblo eligió a su Poder
Judicial y con ello se logró una Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación (SCJN) que cumple con lo que mandata la Constitución.
El director general de la Comisión Nacional del Agua (Conagua), Efraín Morales López, detalló que el proyecto Agua para Campeche suministrará mil 300 litros de agua por segundo en beneficio de más de 260 mil habitantes, y se prevé que las obras concluyan en abril de 2027, generando 3 mil empleos directos e indirectos.
El subdirector general de Agua Potable, Drenaje y Saneamiento, Felipe Zataráin Mendoza, puntualizó que estas obras garantizarán agua para Campeche por los próximos 30 a 40 años y con ello saldrán de operación 35 pozos con agua salobre.
La gobernadora de Campeche, Layda Sansores San Román, agradeció a la Presidenta por esta obra que será fundamental en el desarrollo del estado, después de que en 40 años los gobiernos neoliberales de la entidad no hicieron nada para resolver el problema del agua potable.
