El estratega político chihuahuense Víctor Mancera fue galardonado este sábado en Washington D.C. con uno de los premios más importantes de la consultoría política internacional: el Napolitan Victory Award 2025 a Mejor Campaña de Manejo de Crisis, otorgado por The Washington Academy of Political Arts & Sciences.
Este galardón —conocido como el “Oscar” de la Comunicación Política— reconoce campañas que marcan un antes y un después en su país. Mancera lo recibió por su trabajo al frente de la campaña de Joaquín “Huacho” Díaz Mena, hoy gobernador electo de Yucatán.
El escenario era complejo desde el inicio pues se enfrentaba al gobierno estatal mejor evaluado del país, con el control de la mayoría de las alcaldías, y prácticamente todas las encuestas en contra. Pero a la campaña enfrentó una crisis mayor: a solo cuatro días de iniciar, el candidato sufrió un accidente que lo dejó hospitalizado durante semanas. Ante esta circunstancia, Mancera transformó la aparente derrota en una movilización sin precedentes.
“La ausencia del candidato para muchos anunciaba el final de la competencia, pero con innovación lo convertimos en un punto de quiebre”, declaró al recibir el galardón. “Creamos omnipresencia con herramientas tecnológicas que llevaron al candidato a cada evento agendado y a otros a los que no habría podido asistir en las mejores condiciones, y por otro lado una movilización ciudadana que se apropió del mensaje en territorio y en el espacio digital, lo que nos permitió competir, y finalmente, ganar”.
La estrategia, desarrollada junto con Grupo Stratega, combinó dos ejes: la Campaña del Pueblo, con miles de simpatizantes movilizados bajo el lema “Todos somos Huacho”, y una táctica de presencia digital escalable, que permitió al candidato interactuar en vivo con plazas y comunidades en todo el estado, incluso desde el hospital.
Doce semanas después, Joaquín Díaz Mena ganó con casi diez puntos de ventaja.
“Agradecemos especialmente a todas y todos los yucatecos que se sumaron a la Campaña del Pueblo y protagonizaron un movimiento histórico”, concluyó Mancera, quien también fue nombrado durante la ceremonia como uno de los 100 consultores más influyentes de la Comunicación Política, según la revista Washington Compol.
