La Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) de Michoacán, encabezada por Carlos Torres Piña, reveló los primeros videos que trazan la ruta del hombre que asesinó al presidente municipal de Uruapan, Carlos Manzo, durante los festejos del Día de Muertos en el Centro Histórico de la ciudad. Las periciales apuntan que el joven tenía entre 17 y 19 años, por lo que las autoridades sospechan que podría tratarse de un menor de edad. Además, se investiga la posible participación de un cómplice que habría actuado como vigilante o apoyo logístico en la zona.
De acuerdo con los primeros avances de la investigación, el agresor —aún sin identificar— llegó horas antes al lugar del ataque, realizó compras en establecimientos cercanos y se colocó una sudadera blanca que portaba al momento de abrir fuego.
Según las imágenes analizadas por la Fiscalía, el sujeto se registró en un hotel cercano al Centro Histórico alrededor de las 16:00 horas. Más tarde, a las 20:10, se le observa caminando hacia la plaza principal, donde se infiltró entre la multitud para aproximarse al presidente municipal.
Los videos muestran cómo el atacante avanza por una de las calles laterales hasta la zona de la ofrenda central, en donde ubica a su objetivo. Sin embargo, las vallas metálicas de seguridad le impidieron acercarse, por lo que esperó el momento oportuno para actuar.
