El alcalde señaló que la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública Municipal y la Coordinación General de Seguridad Vial mantienen un trabajo coordinado, con el objetivo de priorizar la seguridad por encima de cualquier otra consideración, especialmente ante el incremento de celebraciones y convivencia nocturna en estas fechas.
Reconoció que en ocasiones algunas personas perciben los operativos como una molestia y que esta temporada es importante para el sector comercial, sin embargo, enfatizó que los accidentes registrados obligan a reforzar las acciones preventivas y a poner al centro la protección de la vida.
Mencionó que existen múltiples alternativas seguras para regresar a casa, como el uso de plataformas digitales, taxis o designar a una persona que no consuma alcohol, lo que además contribuye a evitar incidentes viales y respalda la economía de quienes prestan estos servicios.
