Tras el incendio en un campamento de migrantes en la ciudad de Chihuahua, que afectó más de 20 refugios improvisados, el coordinador del Grupo Parlamentario del PAN, en el Congreso local, Alfredo Chávez Madrid llamó a la Federación a coordinarse con municipios y estados, para abordar la problemática migratoria.
El legislador reconoció la rápida respuesta del municipio de Chihuahua, encabezado por el alcalde Marco Bonilla, y de las corporaciones locales, como la Policía Municipal y Bomberos, quienes actuaron oportunamente ante el siniestro.
Sin embargo, enfatizó que se requiere una política nacional que priorice los derechos humanos, la seguridad y el acceso a servicios básicos para los migrantes.
“La migración es una crisis humanitaria que exige la acción inmediata del Gobierno Federal. Necesitamos una estrategia que responda a las necesidades de las personas y proteja tanto a los migrantes como a las comunidades receptoras”, señaló.
Chávez advirtió que la situación podría agravarse ante la posible llegada de Donald Trump a la presidencia de Estados Unidos, lo que podría derivar en deportaciones masivas y un aumento en la presión migratoria sobre los municipios.
En ese sentido, instó a la Federación a prever estos escenarios y garantizar recursos y coordinación efectiva con las autoridades locales.
El diputado subrayó que el problema migratorio no puede ser abordado únicamente por los municipios.
“Es fundamental que el Gobierno Federal asuma su responsabilidad y trabaje en conjunto con los gobiernos locales para ofrecer soluciones integrales y proteger a las comunidades que enfrentan este desafío”, concluyó.
