China anunció este lunes 10 de noviembre un refuerzo de los controles a la exportación de productos químicos que pueden emplearse en la fabricación de drogas sintéticas, en particular el fentanilo, al incluir a Estados Unidos, México y Canadá en la lista de países para los que será obligatorio solicitar licencias previas de envío.
Según un comunicado conjunto del Ministerio de Comercio y otros organismos, la medida entra en vigor de inmediato e incorpora además un listado específico de 13 sustancias químicas sujetas a control especial para esos tres países. Las exportaciones a otros destinos no requerirán autorización.
El ministerio justificó el ajuste como parte de los esfuerzos para “mejorar la gestión de la exportación de productos químicos susceptibles de desvío” hacia usos prohibidos.
Comercio ya aplicaba controles similares a Birmania, Laos y Afganistán, países incluidos hasta ahora en la lista de destinos considerados de alto riesgo por el desvío de precursores químicos.
Con el ajuste anunciado hoy, Estados Unidos, México y Canadá se suman a ese grupo, aunque con un catálogo distinto de 13 compuestos centrado en derivados de la piperidina, base de numerosos opioides sintéticos como el fentanilo.
