Con la intención de prevenir accidentes vehiculares durante las fiestas de fin de año, la Coordinación General de Seguridad Vial, llevará a cabo labores de vigilancia por los distintos sectores de la ciudad, dio a conocer en conferencia de prensa Víctor Daniel Mejía, director operativo de la dependencia.
“Con los operativos que estamos implementando en la Coordinación General de Seguridad Vial, lo que queremos es bajar la estadística en los hechos viales, no solamente en los daños materiales, personales o decesos”, indicó.
Resaltó que a partir del primer minuto del 31 de diciembre se implementará un dispositivo donde participarán 80 agentes en 40 unidades y motocicletas, solamente para la vigilancia y para la detección de personas conduciendo bajo los influjos del alcohol, también se tendrá el programa Médico a Bordo, con dos médicos en los tres turnos.
Explicó que a todos los conductores que cometan una infracción se les hará la prueba de alcoholemia, ya que algunos utilizan mil cosas para tratar de ocultar el olor a alcohol.
“Para que no les sorprenda a los ciudadanos que cometan infracción y que sean detenidos, se les va aplicar un pequeño examen a través de una pipeta; queremos con esto inhibir el consumo de alcohol y manejar un vehículo”, señaló.
“Se circulará de manera normal por toda la ciudad, como se hace todos los días, no habrá puntos de revisión”, mencionó.
Agregó que hasta hoy en el reglamento vigente, cuando se practique el examen de alcoholemia, no debe ser mayor a 0.075 el porcentaje de alcohol expirado.
Informó que el 25 de diciembre se detuvo 56 personas detectadas conduciendo en estado de ebriedad, por lo que fueron llevadas al Centro de Recuperación Cívica Total (Cerecito).
