El alcalde Marco Bonilla asistió al informe de Fundación Cooperación Educativa, asociación que une organismos como Gobierno Municipal, UTCH, UPCH, American Industries, IMAN Outdoors, entre otros más, para apoyar a que jóvenes sigan estudiando por medio de incentivos económicos.
En su mensaje, el Alcalde destacó que lo que hace Cooperación Educativa es abrir puertas, y más que otorgar becas; ofrece caminos ya que brinda la posibilidad de imaginar una vida distinta, de acabar con ciclos de desigualdad y de ser el primero o la primera en una familia en llegar a la universidad.
“Hoy, prácticamente la mitad de las y los becarios de esta organización son justamente eso: el primer acceso a la educación superior en su hogar, historias que demuestran que la educación sí cambia vidas, y que cuando la comunidad se organiza, los cambios reales ocurren”, expresó Marco Bonilla.
Por medio de este programa, se han brindado muchos casos de éxito, entre los cuales se destaca a Humberto Tello, quien, a sus 27 años, es el director más joven de una escuela de medicina en la UVM campus San Luis Potosí, gracias a que, en su formación, fue acompañado por Cooperación Educativa.
Por su parte, Alejandro Lara, presidente de Fundación Cooperación Educativa, reconoció a cada uno de los beneficiarios y de los organismos que se unen a dicha asociación, ya que la educación es muy importante en la fundación del ser humano y es una herramienta clave acabar con la pobreza ya que genera oportunidades para obtener empleos dignos y bien pagados.
