Con el objetivo de fortalecer la vida cultural y resignificar los espacios públicos del Centro Histórico, el Instituto para la Cultura del Municipio de Juárez (IPACULT) acompañó la instalación y resguardo de una escultura del artista visual Juan Pablo Chipe, la cual se presenta de manera temporal en la panadería Rezizte en la Plaza Cervantina, en el Centro Histórico de la Ciudad.
Ogla Liset Olivas, encargada de la Dirección General del IPACULT, destacó la importancia de abrir y fortalecer los espacios públicos para la expresión artística, señalando que la Plaza Cervantina ha sido punto de encuentro de diversas manifestaciones culturales.
“Resignificar cada lugar a través del arte, la literatura y la música permite reconstruir el tejido social y fortalecer nuestra identidad”, expresó.
La funcionaria detalló que la llegada de la obra se da en el marco de la brigada “Juárez Amanece Limpio” y gracias a la colaboración entre distintas instancias como el Centro Fundacional, el Instituto Municipal del Deporte y colectivos artísticos independientes.
La escultura será albergada por Jorge Pérez “El Yorch” en Pan&Prints, espacio que además funge como sede de residencias artísticas, talleres de grabado y serigrafía impulsados por el Taller de Gráfica Los Entintan y el colectivo REZIZTE.
Juan Pablo Chipe, artista originario de la frontera México-Estados Unidos y radicado en Madrid, desarrolla una práctica artística centrada en la revalorización de residuos culturales cotidianos. A través de materiales reciclados, su obra dialoga con la cultura pop, la memoria y los sistemas de consumo, consolidando una trayectoria con presencia en exposiciones y residencias internacionales en Europa, Asia y América.
El IPACULT reitera su compromiso de impulsar iniciativas que promuevan la participación comunitaria y el acceso a la cultura, reconociendo el valor de las alianzas entre instituciones y sociedad civil para el fortalecimiento de la vida cultural en Ciudad Juárez.
