El presidente estadunidense, Donald Trump, declaró este jueves que no cederá en los aranceles, en plena guerra comercial con Canadá, México, China y Europa.
“Nos han timado durante años y no nos van a timar más. No, no voy a ceder en absoluto, ni en el aluminio, ni en el acero, ni en los automóviles”, declaró Trump a periodistas cuando se le preguntó si daría marcha atrás en las tarifas aduaneras.
Trump ha defendido su uso de los aranceles, ha desestimado la reciente volatilidad de los mercados y ha prometido que los inversores acabarán viendo ganancias por haber puesto dinero a trabajar ahora.
“La Unión Europea es muy, muy desagradable”, afirmó. “Están demandando a Google, están demandando a Facebook, están demandando a todas estas empresas, y están sacando miles de millones de dólares de las compañías estadunidenses”.
Trump dijo que Facebook iba a invertir 60 mil millones de dólares para finales de año.
