La Secretaría de Pueblos y Comunidades Indígenas (SPyCI), se une a la décima jornada de cirugías gratuitas de cataratas “Iluminando Miradas”, impulsada por Fundación ALE, Fundación Cinépolis y Christus Muguerza Hospital del Parque.
El objetivo es realizar 310 procedimientos quirúrgicos sin costo, de los cuales, 200 estarán destinados específicamente a población rarámuri.
Esta iniciativa busca brindar atención oftalmológica gratuita a personas en situación vulnerable que padecen cataratas, una enfermedad visual que deteriora la calidad de vida y puede conducir a la pérdida total de la visión si no se trata a tiempo.
Este año, los esfuerzos se extienden a las comunidades indígenas de la Sierra Tarahumara, con la inclusión de localidades de difícil acceso donde habitan pueblos originarios del estado de Chihuahua, con el propósito de mejorar su salud visual y bienestar integral.
Detalles de la jornada “Iluminando Miradas”:
● Las valoraciones médicas en Chihuahua capital se llevarán a cabo del 15 al 16 de julio
● En el municipio de Guachochi, las valoraciones se realizarán los días 21 y 22 de mayo en el auditorio de la cabecera municipal Andrés Balleza
● Las cirugías se realizarán del 17 al 21 de agosto en el Hospital del Parque Christus Muguerza
Las instituciones que encabezan los esfuerzos cuentan con la infraestructura, logística, recursos médicos y el personal especializado necesario, para garantizar procedimientos seguros y de alta calidad para todos los pacientes.
Desde su inicio, esta jornada ha beneficiado a más de 1,066 personas adultas en todo el país. En su décima edición, reafirma el compromiso de las instituciones participantes con el pueblo chihuahuense, en particular con las comunidades indígenas, al acercar servicios con enfoque humano y solidario.
En la rueda de prensa informativa se contó con la presencia del titular de la SPyCI, Enrique Rascón, así como del tesorero municipal de Guachochi, Adrián Payán, en representación del alcalde José Miguel Yáñez, quien mostró el respaldo del gobierno local a esta importante iniciativa.
La Secretaría de Pueblos y Comunidades Indígenas reconoce y apoya estas acciones, que no solo atienden necesidades urgentes de salud, sino que también fortalecen la equidad y el desarrollo integral en las regiones más apartadas del estado.
