El presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador dijo en su conferencia matutina que la reforma al Poder Judicial es un tema urgente por la corrupción que, acusó, impera en el sistema de justicia, y minimizó la depreciación del peso por el nerviosismo de los mercados.
Interrogado respecto a los plazos para la aprobación de la iniciativa, que propone la elección de jueces y magistrados por votación popular, dijo que él tendría disposición de decir que no hay necesidad de que se apruebe en septiembre, pero aseguró que hay mucha corrupción en el Poder Judicial tanto de la delincuencia organizada como por la de “cuello blanco“.
Puso como ejemplo lo que momentos antes se había expuesto en el informe de seguridad: las decisiones adoptadas por jueces a favor de César Duarte y Rafael Caro Quintero, y también aludió a la reunión que sostuvo la presidenta, Norma Piña, con el dirigente del PRI, Alejandro Moreno, “en lo oscurito”.
En cuanto a la depreciación del peso por el nerviosismo en los mercados por la reforma judicial, minimizó el hecho y lo atribuyó a los especuladores, pero aseguró que a partir de que se apruebe habrá jueces honestos que garantizaran que haya un Estado de derecho, y que es eso lo que quieren los inversionistas.
El mandatario hizo que expusieran una gráfica sobre la cotización del peso, dijo que ayer estaba en 18.24 unidades por dólar, destacó que en el balance, desde que empezó su sexenio, la moneda mexicana se ha fortalecido más de 10%, y dijo que “sí aguantamos y aguantaríamos más”.
Y cuando le preguntaron hasta qué tope, respondió: “No importa”.
López Obrador coincidió con lo expresado ayer por la virtual presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum en su primera conferencia desde Palacio Nacional en el sentido de hacer una discusión amplia previo a su aprobación, pero también aseguró que “ya se sabe lo suficiente”, en alusión a la corrupción que acusa en el Poder Judicial.
La reforma al Poder Judicial es la iniciativa de López Obrador que mayor nerviosismo causa en los mercados. La Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV) cayó un 3.99% y el peso mexicano se depreció más de 8% la semana pasada tras los resultados de las elecciones del 2 de junio.
“Entiendo muy bien que no les guste y empiezan algunos a presionar para ver si hay nerviosismo en los mercados. Nuestra economía está muy fuerte, afortunadamente. ¿Entonces cuánto tiempo les va a durar estar promoviendo ese nerviosismo?”, comentó López Obrador.
