La gobernadora Maru Campos incluyó al estado de Chihuahua en la Agenda Nacional para erradicar al Gusano Barrenador de Ganado (GBG), como parte de las estrategias diseñadas para reanudar la exportación de bovinos en pie a Estados Unidos.
Lo anterior, durante la reunión virtual que la mandataria sostuvo con el secretario de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural, Julio Berdegué, gobernadores de las fronteras norte y sur del país, así como el secretario de Desarrollo Rural, Mauro Parada.
Entre las estrategias que se impulsarán, se incluye el robustecimiento de la entrada de ganado de otras entidades al estado, creación de grupos de seguimiento de GBG con entidades federativas y la necesidad de incrementar la producción de mosca estéril, por medio de la adecuación de plantas de producción.
La Gobernadora señaló que: “Chihuahua está dando todas las herramientas y toda la coordinación al Servicio Nacional de Sanidad, Inocuidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (Senasica), en las mesas de negociación”.
Destacó que desde el pasado mes de noviembre, Chihuahua fortaleció los protocolos de sanidad bovina para garantizar la exportación de ganado de calidad a Estados Unidos.
Por la representación chihuahuense participaron también, Enrique Sánchez Granillo y Juan Carlos Flores, secretario técnico y jefe del Departamento de Ganadería de la SDR, respectivamente.
