Chihuahua, Chih. A 23 de agosto de 2024.- Para fomentar una cultura de tenencia responsable de mascotas, el Gobierno Municipal de Chihuahua, a través del Instituto Municipal de Prevención y Atención a la Salud (IMPAS), llevó a cabo el Chihuahua Pet Fest, donde se atendieron a 528 familias y sus mascotas de la capital, en las instalaciones del Polideportivo Luis H. Álvarez.
Durante la tarde del jueves 22 de agosto, las y los Chihuahuenses pudieron disfrutar de un ameno rato de convivencia con sus mascotas, además de aprovechar distintos servicios que se brindaron en conjunto con la Secretaría de Salud del Gobierno del Estado y la Escuela de Medicina Veterinaria Educación Profesional (VEP) como fue:
- Aplicación de la vacuna antirrábica a 520 mascotas.
- Aplicación de garrapaticida a más de 500 mascotas.
- Esterilización a 20 caninos y felinos.
- Consulta y orientación veterinaria a más de 100 mascotas.
Asimismo, se contó con la presencia y apoyo de las asociaciones Vida Animal, Álamo de Zazu, Cat Family A.C y el Albergue Canino Salvando Vidas, quienes brindaron hogar a ocho animales con las adopciones realizadas en el evento. De igual manera, Luis Arrieta, director del IMPAS, realizó la entrega de más de 32 kg de croquetas, para el alimento de aquellos caninos y felinos rescatados, reconociendo además la nobleza que lleva esta labor.
Las y los presentes también pudieron pasear y visitar stands de negocios locales los cuales ofrecían una variedad de artículos y servicios para animales domésticos. Por otro lado, se contó con los módulos de vacunación y de trámite para la tarjeta MediChihuahua por parte de Gobierno del Estado hacia la población en general.
Finalmente, se dio cierre a la jornada con el concurso de disfraces “El Duo Perfecto” en el cual la población presente pudo deleitarse con la creatividad de las y los participantes quienes acompañaron a sus perros y gatos por la pasarela para mostrar sus diferentes vestimentas. Seguido a ello, se realizó la premiación correspondiente en donde las diversas autoridades felicitaron a los concursantes y entregaron los premios a sus ganadores.
