El Consejo General del Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE) determinó mediante sorteo que febrero, junto con mayo, serán tomados como base para la insaculación de la ciudadanía que integrará las Mesas Directivas de Casilla en los Procesos Electorales Locales (PEL) 2024-2025 y en el Proceso Electoral Extraordinario del Poder Judicial de la Federación (PEEPJF) 2024-2025.
Marzo y abril fueron excluidos del sorteo ya que se tomaron como base para la insaculación de la ciudadanía que integró las Mesas Directivas de Casilla en el Proceso Electoral 2023-2024.
En otro punto de la sesión, el pleno aprobó que las Credenciales para Votar cuyo último día de vigencia es el 31 de diciembre de 2024, continúen vigentes hasta el día de la Jornada Electoral de las elecciones ordinarias y, en su caso, extraordinarias que se celebren con motivo de los PEL 2024-2025.
Asimismo, que los registros de las personas ciudadanas cuyas Credenciales para Votar se encuentren en este supuesto, sean excluidas del Padrón Electoral y de la Lista Nominal de Electores el día siguiente a la celebración de las jornadas electorales respectivas.
Con corte al 31 de octubre de 2024, el número de registros de ciudadanas y ciudadanos residentes en los estados con PEL el próximo año, cuyas credenciales tienen como último día de vigencia el 31 de diciembre de 2024, asciende a un total de 478 mil 405 (91 mil 204 en Durango y 387 mil 201 en Veracruz).
Previamente, las consejeras y los consejeros recibieron el Informe sobre el desarrollo del procedimiento para la acreditación de la ciudadanía interesada en participar como observadora electoral en el PEL ordinario 2024-2025 y aprobaron los resultados del Proyecto de Reseccionamiento 2024-2025.
