El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, puso en duda este miércoles la renovación el tratado de libre comercio T-MEC con sus vecinos Canadá y México porque, según afirmó, su país “no necesita nada” de sus socios.
“No sé si voy a renovarlo porque, para ser sincero, a Estados Unidos le va mucho mejor”, dijo Trump en el Despacho Oval durante la firma de una ley para financiar a los servicios de migración por los próximos tres años.
Preguntado sobre la marcha de las negociaciones para extender el acuerdo, en medio de las tensiones avivadas por su guerra arancelaria, el republicano insistió en que, en lugar de déficits comerciales, deberían tener superávits con sus aliados comerciales.
