Presenta diputada iniciativa para declarar marzo como “Mes de la Mujer”

Con el objetivo de homenajear la lucha y dar a conocer los logros femeninos en la historia, así como de garantizar que las mujeres reciban el reconocimiento a sus labores, la diputada América Aguilar presentó una iniciativa para que se declare el Mes de Marzo como “Mes de la Mujer”.

“Las mujeres siempre hemos formado parte de la historia, pero durante el último milenio la sociedad se ha forjado en base a la visión masculina, lo que ignora a la otra mitad de la población; es injusto que no se reconozca el papel que tenemos en la historia y es imposible que el mundo avance sin mujeres” declaró la diputada.

Asimismo, la diputada del PT, señaló que enseñar un mundo unilateral crea un enorme problema para la sociedad en su conjunto, pues avala y propicia estereotipos de género que al final del día sólo dificultan la participación de las mujeres y la igualdad de género.

Según el estudio del IMCO (Instituto Mexicano para la Competitividad), carreras del área de ingeniería, manufactura y construcción son elegidas tan solo por el 4% de las profesionistas mexicanas, debido a ideas como que existen trabajos para hombres y mujeres, o de que el trabajo femenino no está a la altura del trabajo masculino.

“Son los hombres quienes aparecen como autores de nuestras novelas, creadores de nuestros medios de comunicación, constructores de nuestros edificios y vehículos, inventores de nuestras comodidades modernas, y como los protagonistas que han ido al espacio, traído la justicia y luchado por nuestra democracia, mientras que a las mujeres no se les ve por ninguna parte, lo cual no solo es un error sino una mentira moderna” señaló la petista.

De ahí, resalta la legisladora, la importancia del Mes de la Mujer, como un recurso que celebre las contribuciones de las mujeres en la cultura y sociedad, que permita que las mujeres aprendan sobre mujeres y que ayude a cambiar los roles de género que aún permean dentro de nuestra cultura, para que las niñas y mujeres se sepan inteligentes, independientes y capaces de alcanzar sus metas.

“Esta declaración es una primera piedra en la estrategia de acercar la historia y la cultura de las mujeres a las mujeres, y será un gran paso para construir ideas y dialogo que nos acerque a una verdadera igualdad sustantiva en donde se le reconozcan y retribuyan a cada persona sus capacidades y logros” concluyó Aguilar Gil.
