El presidente de la Mesa Directiva del Senado, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, explicó por qué la Comisión Permanente fue citada hasta el próximo viernes 20 de junio.
“Fue una decisión tomada en coordinación con mi compañero Adán Augusto López Hernández, con el propósito de dar tiempo al Ejecutivo para avanzar en el envío de iniciativas. No vamos a especular sobre cuáles vendrán, eso se sabrá el viernes”, dijo.
No obstante, se sabe que se está a la espera de que lleguen algunas iniciativas y que avancen otras en el Congreso, con el objetivo de agrupar un paquete importante de reformas y evitar convocatorias fragmentadas.
La ley reglamentaria del Poder Judicial; la Ley de Amparo; las modificaciones a la Ley de Desaparecidos y los ajustes al dictamen de la Ley de Telecomunicaciones son algunas de las razones por las cuales por las cuales se encuentran detenidos los trabajos legislativos extraordinarios.
Noroña anticipó que el viernes se convocará a un periodo extraordinario que abarcará toda la próxima semana, del 23 al 27 de junio, para discutir y eventualmente aprobar un importante paquete legislativo en ambas cámaras.
Sobre el proceso de elección judicial recientemente llevado a cabo, el senador afirmó que ya se han entregado las constancias de mayoría, pero reconoció que existen áreas de mejora.
“Hay que esperar la evaluación de quienes participaron. La experiencia nos deja muchos aprendizajes, y también críticas que deben tomarse en cuenta”, comentó.
