El Estadio Monterrey tiene asignados tres partidos de la fase de grupos y uno de dieciseisavos de final. El primer partido será el domingo 14 de junio, el segundo el sábado 20 y el tercero el miércoles 24. El juego de la siguiente ronda será el lunes 29 de junio.
Los partidos de repechaje que definirán a las últimas selecciones clasificadas al Mundial 2026, están programados para disputarse en marzo.
Los últimos dos boletos para definir a los últimos clasificados al Mundial se disputarán entre seis selecciones: dos de la Concacaf, una de Conmebol, una de la Confederación Asiática (AFC), una de la Confederación Africana (CAF) y una de la Confederación de Oceania (OFC).
De acuerdo con el ranking FIFA, las cuatro peor ubicadas jugarán semifinales entre sí, para posteriormente medirse ante las dos mejores ubicadas por el pase al Mundial 2026.
La ciudad de Monterrey se consideraba una candidata a albergar el sorteo del Mundial 2026, pero extraoficialmente se eligió a Las Vegas, por lo que el partido de repechaje sería una especie de ‘premio de consolación’ para Nuevo León.
