Clara Brugada, jefa de Gobierno de la Ciudad de México, prohibió las corridas de toros “con violencia“.
Dicha medida fue anunciada por la mandataria capitalina en un mensaje este jueves en el Antiguo Palacio del Ayuntamiento, ante los aplausos de los presentes en el evento.
“Atendiendo la voluntad de la mayoría de las personas que habitan esta capital, el Gobierno de la CDMX impulsa una propuesta regida en los siguientes principios: Uno, prohíben las corridas de toros con violencia”, señaló.
“Dos, Se crea la figura política (del) espectáculo taurino libre de violencia, que posibilitará la continuación de las actividades en la Plaza de Toros bajo nuevas reglas”, apuntó.
“En el espectáculo taurino libre de violencia se prohíbe la muerte del toro dentro y fuera de la plaza, Se establece que una vez que culmine el espectáculo, el toro deberá ser devuelto a la ganadería. Cuarto, se protege la integridad físicas de los toros y se prohíben los maltratos dentro y fuera del espectáculo”, refirió.
Otra de las medidas es que se se prohíbe la utilización de objetos que provoquen heridas, lastimaduras o muerte del animal, tales como banderillas, espadas, etcétera, aunque sí se autoriza el uso de capote y muleta.
También se protegerán los cuernos del toro para evitar cualquier de tipo de lastimadura y se limitará el tiempo de la corridas de toros a 10 minutos, con un máximo de media hora.
