El Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (CCE) de Chihuahua, manifestó su apoyo al proyecto “Movilidad Segura CUU”, una iniciativa impulsada por el Consejo Consultivo de Vialidad de Chihuahua, cuyo objetivo es reducir drásticamente los accidentes viales y sus trágicas consecuencias en nuestra entidad.
El presidente del organismo empresarial, Federico Baeza Mares, indicó que la problemática de seguridad vial en Chihuahua se ha ido incrementando, ya que, de acuerdo con cifras oficiales del 2021, el estado registró más de 30 mil accidentes, posicionándose como el segundo a nivel nacional en este rubro.
En 2023, dijo, la ciudad de Chihuahua lamentó un promedio de siete fallecimientos mensuales por accidentes de tránsito, siendo esta la segunda causa de muerte en personas de entre 15 y 44 años.
Ante esta crisis, el proyecto “Movilidad Segura CUU” se ha convertido en un esfuerzo crucial para salvar vidas y construir una ciudad más segura.
Expresó que el CCE reconoce los avances significativos alcanzados por esta iniciativa, la cual ha implementado estrategias integrales basadas en metodologías probadas de gestión de calidad y el enfoque “Salve Vidas” de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS).
“Se nos ha informado que, gracias a estas acciones, en 2024 se logró una reducción del 44% en accidentes fatales, lo que representa 36 defunciones menos en comparación con el año anterior. Asimismo, los accidentes ocasionados por exceso de velocidad disminuyeron en un 37%, lo que demuestra que el trabajo coordinado entre sociedad civil, autoridades y sector privado puede generar resultados tangibles”, puntualizó.
Dijo que hay acciones destacadas del proyecto como la implementación de un sistema de información geográfica para identificar puntos críticos de accidentes; la aprobación y publicación de la Ley de Movilidad y Seguridad Vial del Estado de Chihuahua.
Asimismo, campañas de concientización como “Bájale”, enfocadas en reducir conductas de riesgo; también, operativos de control de velocidad, que incrementaron en un 41% las infracciones por exceso de velocidad.
“Desde el consejo Coordinador Empresarial refrendamos nuestro compromiso de seguir apoyando esta y cualquier otra iniciativa que promueva la reducción de accidentes viales en nuestra ciudad. Reconocemos que la seguridad vial es una responsabilidad compartida que requiere la participación activa de todos los sectores de la sociedad”, detalló.
En ese sentido, hizo un llamado a la sociedad civil, iniciativa privada, gobiernos e instancias relacionadas con el tráfico vehicular a sumar esfuerzos y trabajar en sinergia para consolidar los avances logrados y seguir reduciendo los índices de impacto en materia vial.
“Nosotros consideramos que es fundamental continuar fortaleciendo la Subsecretaría de Movilidad, invertir en infraestructura vial segura, promover programas permanentes de educación vial y garantizar el cumplimiento de la ley. Solo a través de la colaboración y el compromiso de todos lograremos construir una Chihuahua con movilidad segura y sostenible para las generaciones presentes y futuras” terminó.
