La Síndica Olivia Franco dejó claro su compromiso con la transparencia y la supervisión del correcto ejercicio del gasto público, señalando que la Sindicatura asume con responsabilidad la tarea de vigilancia para que los recursos públicos se utilicen con legalidad, eficiencia y en beneficio directo de la ciudadanía.
“Desde la Sindicatura, nuestra labor va más allá de revisar números; se trata de vigilar que cada recurso público se destine adecuadamente, con total transparencia y como una práctica cotidiana, no solo un compromiso simbólico”, afirmó.
La Síndica Franco destacó que, aunque en dos décadas desde la promulgación de la Ley de Transparencia del Estado de Chihuahua se han logrado importantes avances, aún persisten desafíos relacionados con la participación ciudadana y el fortalecimiento de los mecanismos de fiscalización.
Esta postura fue reafirmada durante su participación en el Encuentro por la Transparencia y Acceso a la Información, realizado en el marco del Día Internacional del Derecho a Saber, establecido por la UNESCO y conmemorado cada 28 de septiembre, así como en la celebración de los 20 años de la Unidad de Transparencia en el municipio.
Celebramos que, pese a la desaparición del ICHITAIP, aquí seguimos firmes, comprometidos con la transparencia, el acceso a la información y la rendición de cuentas. Más allá de los cambios institucionales, nos mantenemos trabajando por un gobierno abierto y cercano a la ciudadanía, destacó la Síndica.
Durante el evento se presentaron los resultados de un autodiagnóstico de apertura gubernamental, elaborado en colaboración con la Agencia de los Estados Unidos para el Desarrollo Internacional (USAID), que permitió identificar avances y áreas de oportunidad en materia de rendición de cuentas y acceso a la información pública.
El encuentro reunió a funcionarios públicos, representantes de órganos garantes, académicos y organizaciones civiles, quienes analizaron los retos y oportunidades en materia de gobierno abierto y rendición de cuentas.
