El alcalde de Chihuahua Marco Bonilla, asistió a la entrega del Reconocimiento al Mérito Turístico Pedro Palma, para dar la bienvenida a la capital como sede este evento y reconocer a los seis galardonados por impactar en el ámbito turístico a nivel estatal.
En su mensaje, Marco Bonilla reconoció a la gobernadora Maru Campos y al secretario de Turismo, Edibray Gómez, quienes han impulsado con visión, estrategia y constancia una política turística que pone a Chihuahua, con justicia, en el mapa de los grandes destinos de México.
Asimismo, dio la bienvenida a empresarios, guías, promotores, emprendedores, académicos, funcionarios y representantes de los pueblos mágicos y tradicionales de todo el estado: “a ustedes les debemos mucho más que cifras. Les debemos memorias, paisajes compartidos, historias contadas con pasión y experiencias que transforman a quienes pisan esta tierra”, expresó.
Destacó que, el Estado fue de los finalistas en cinco categorías de los premios “Lo Mejor por México”, donde se reconoció particularmente en la categoría “Mejor destino de naturaleza para vivir una experiencia de aventura”, a las Grutas Nombre de Dios de la Capital, mismas que se llevaron el primer lugar, por lo que reconoció a la Secretaría de Turismo y al DIF Municipal.
A su vez, Bonilla destacó que Chihuahua Capital es el segundo destino sin playa más visitado del país, solo por detrás de CDMX, donde agregó que el aeropuerto de la ciudad recibe a 1.8 millones de visitantes al año.
“Detrás de estos logros hay personas. Mujeres y hombres que abren sus puertas, que narran nuestras historias, que cocinan nuestros sabores, que resguardan nuestras tradiciones y que le ponen alma a cada rincón de este estado” reconoció Marco Bonilla.
Agregó que a los galardonados, se les reconoce su trabajo pues representa lo mejor del carácter chihuahuense: esa mezcla de firmeza y hospitalidad, de orgullo y generosidad, de amor por la tierra y visión hacia el mundo.
Finalmente, el Alcalde invitó a turistear en Chihuahua Capital que albergará grandes eventos próximamente como el Expogan, Festival Internacional Chihuahua (FICUU), y el Festival CUUlinaria, este último posicionado como de los mejores a nivel nacional en el ámbito gastronómico.
