El alcalde Marco Bonilla realizó la entrega de patrullas a la Dirección de Seguridad Pública Municipal, 46 unidades adicionales a las 154 que ya se tienen dentro del arrendamiento, lo cual permitirá reforzar la prevención de delitos e implementar estrategias para mayor seguridad de las familias.
Estas patrullas cuentan con mejor seguridad equipamiento para el desarrollo de las funciones operativas tanto ordinarias como extraordinarias de las y los policías.
En su mensaje, el Alcalde destacó que se reforzará la seguridad en la ciudad para que las familias puedan salir de casa con tranquilidad, que niñas y niños regresen seguros de la escuela, que los negocios puedan abrir sin miedo, que las colonias tengan paz, y que los jóvenes puedan estudiar tranquilamente.
A su vez, detalló que este modelo de arrendamiento permite brindar un buen equipamiento de cada patrulla ya que debe contar con herramientas y equipo para que los policías puedan hacer bien su trabajo, pues estas unidades no son vehículos básicos; son verdaderas herramientas tecnológicas de seguridad al servicio de la gente.
“En Chihuahua tomamos una decisión muy clara: que la policía esté presente las 24 horas del día, los 365 días del año, en todas las colonias. Esto significa, en la práctica, que la patrulla nunca desaparece de la calle. Si hay alguna falla o se pierde por completo una unidad, al día siguiente nos reponen ese vehículo con uno nuevo”, explicó Bonilla al señalar este último como uno de los beneficios del arrendamiento de patrullas.
Finalmente, agregó que cuando hay patrullas en la calle, los delincuentes saben que la policía está presente y eso cambia decisiones: hace que quien piensa en cometer un delito, lo piense dos veces; “cuando hay presencia policial constante, se disuaden delitos. Cuando hay estrategia, inversión responsable y trabajo coordinado, los resultados llegan”.
Por su parte el director de Seguridad Pública Municipal, Julio César Salas, compartió estadísticas donde a tan solo un año de iniciar con el sistema de arrendamiento de patrullas, han reducido las incidencias delictivas hasta en un 41%.
“Estas patrullas no solo son vehículos, son seguridad para los policías, para las personas, para espacios y comercios”, añadió y destacó que la ciudadanía no distingue muchas veces los vehículos, solo espera resultados, y en este sentido se está cumpliendo con ellos.
En representación de la gobernadora Maru Campos, Esteban Piñón Olivas, subsecretario de Especialización y Profesionalización Policial, señaló que la seguridad en Chihuahua, se construye con hechos, resultados y fortaleciendo las corporaciones, por lo que esta entrega a la par de dignificación policial, significa una mejor respuesta a cada situación que se pudiera presentar.
