El buque escuela Cuauhtémoc de México fue remolcado al astillero de GMD, de Brooklyn, Nueva York, desde el muelle 36 en Manhattan.
La Secretaría de Marina (Semar) informó que el traslado del buque permitirá llevar a cabo los trabajos técnicos de evaluación y reparación.
Dichas labores apoyarán a su vez los peritajes de la investigación por el accidente que sufrió el 17 de mayo, presidida por la Junta Nacional de Seguridad en el Transporte (NTSB) de Estados Unidos.
