La presidenta de México, Claudia Sheinbaum envió una felicitación a Isaac del Toro por su participación y segundo lugar en el Giro de Italia.
Con dicho triunfo, Isaac del Toro se convirtió en el primer mexicano en lucir la “maglia rosa” durante el Giro de Italia.
El deportista originario de Ensenada, Baja California, vistió la maglia rosa durante 10 días antes de que el británico Simon Yates (Visma Lease a Bike) se la arrebatara el sábado en la penúltima etapa y se coronara en Roma el domingo.
